South Africa Partners Announces David Dolbashian as the Executive Director
The Board of Directors of South Africa Partners announces David Dolbashian as Executive Director. David possesses a deep institutional knowledge of the organization and of relationships in the community. He served on the Board of Directors of South Africa Partners, as Treasurer, for over 11 years. Prior to that, he served as South Africa Partner’s Relationship Manager on behalf of one of the organization’s banks and gained insight into both the organization’s programs and the operations.
David has a life-long commitment to social and environmental justice. In addition to serving as Executive Director of South Africa Partners, he currently serves as President of the Board of Mothers for Justice and Equality in Boston, MA and as a member of the board of the League of Women Voters of the Worcester Area in Worcester, MA.
David holds a B.A. from Colby College and a M.B.A. from Clark University.
The Board of Directors would like to thank Judy Bigby for her leadership and service as Executive Director since 2017. When she joined the organization, her task was to assist the board in envisioning the future direction for South Africa Partners. Consistent with South Africa Partners’ long-term mission to be partners with South Africans to capacitate their health and education sectors, Judy has helped to lay the groundwork to shift the locus of control of the organization to South Africa. We are grateful for her guidance and appreciate her deep commitment to South Africa Partners.
Judy has agreed to serve on the Board of Directors, enabling South Africa Partners to continue to benefit from her involvement.
