Fostering Great Leaders

A Conversation with Vice-Chancellor Adam Habib

What has student activism revealed about South Africa’s young future leaders?

In the wake of student-led protests in universities across South Africa, it is worth examining how these student leaders have conducted themselves and the strategies they’ve used. University of Witwatersrand Vice-Chancellor Adam Habib reflects on his experience with student activism in the Fees Must Fall movement and discusses how South African universities are working to foster great leaders. Young leaders will also discuss current student-led movements in the US including Black Lives Matter and the March for Our Lives and student-led movements are creating change throughout the world.
