JULY 18, NELSON MANDELA DAY

Designated in 2009 by the United Nations, Nelson Mandela Day is an international day of service dedicated to continuing the South African leader’s legacy of working to improve the lives of others. Annually on July 18, Mandela’s birthday, we are encouraged to join others around the world in donating 67 minutes to a favorite charity or local community to honor the 67 years of activism Mandela on behalf of the rights of others.  In Boston, a group of partners is coordinating a series of events to commemorate this occasion.

Please contact these organizations directly to set up a time and location to volunteer.
