"I've recently returned from my second visit to
Before I left on my trip, I stopped by SAP's offices to check out the books in your library. I took a chance and brought a few of them: with me Lindi and GoGo, Thankdeka's Gift, and The Dove. Actually, although a children's book, The Dove offered beautiful illustrations and an inspiring story line to some of the women in the cooperative who are creating mobiles of birds and animals.
The greatest delight was introducing the other two books to the children at the creche. Here is the teacher Atrecia Sithole embellishing a story from Lindi and GoGo and then from Thankdeka's Gift. As you can tell, the school building is quite spare so these books offered warm color and recognizable illustrations to the kids. They were riveted."

They will be a valuable addition to our community library and will, I have no doubt, assist us not only to increase literacy levels in Nqileni village but also foster a love of reading among the children."

"On behalf of our learners who are the beneficiaries of SA Partners' generosity I want to thank you all so much for the gift of books from your Masifunde Sonke book project...Our school, which began in January 2010 with Grade R hopes to grow adding a grade each year up through Grade 3 or 4 to provide foundation stage education for rural children who otherwise would most likely fall out of the system here. Your books will be a great help to them both with their listening and reading skills."

"Thank you so much for donating copies of Welcome to the Martin Tudhope Show to my ninth grade Humanities class this year. The students who read the book discussed and analyzed it during biweekly literature circles. They enjoyed the book, especially Martin's distinct voice and his awkward adolescent experiences. They also used the book to reinforce what they had learned about apartheid in class. I am grateful to South Africa Partners for your generosity."
